Going to Raquette Lake was quite an experience! I had heard a lot of rumors from other people that had gone so I was very curious to find out for myself. Personally I enjoy doing outdoor activities and experiencing new challenges so I was up for most of the activities the teachers had planned. I really enjoyed kayaking and canoeing on the lake. The view on the lake was so beautiful and surreal. It was nice to just get away from all of our busy life styles and really unite as a block. The trust building actives forced us to work together and make us feel a lot more comfortable with each other. We also got to see the teachers in a different light. I thought this was really great because many times we forget that teachers are also real people too. The experience was special in that we all learned from each other throughout the trip; the students, teachers and the Thai’s. I am really glad I had the opportunity to go!
